THE STORY

Leanne Claxton

Artist, Designer and Educator Leanne Claxton grew up in the North West of England, moving to London in 2002 to complete a BA (Hons) degree in Textile Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. In 2005, she trained in Paris under Christian Lacroix where she discovered Haute Couture and the relationship between Art and Fashion. Since graduating, she has worked in-house and as a freelance print designer for major brands in London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Spain.

Claxton launched her self-named accessories brand at London Fashion Week. Using both traditional and modern printing processes, she transfers her hand-painted florals onto luxury scarves to make her artwork more accessible. Uniting art and fashion as one, she embraces wrapping the body in vibrant, painted brush strokes.

Leanne Claxton is an artist passionate about the outdoors, delighting in natural light, alfresco painting, the rainbow of colours, and intricate details that nature offers. Her paintings and accessories are inspired by these elements at home and on her travels.
